Civil War Travels: This Spring…

If you’ve got mobile broadband you’re not far from a military learning trip of a lifetime. When the grounds thaw this spring we recommend you head out to some of these life changing Civil War historical sights and bring the kids – this is a wonderful educational opportunity.
Adersonville, GA – Little do most people know there’s a Civil War prisoner’s camp still erect in Andersonville, GA. It’s adjacent to one of the largest military cemeteries in the state and it’s really, really quiet and uncrowded – a great spot for reverent reflection.
Gettysburg, PA – There’s not a lot to see here on the ground but the Gettysburg Museum is a sight to behold. IT’s got all kinds of war relics and you’ll get to learn more about President Lincoln than you ever thought possible.
Fredricksburg, VA – It’s got a National Civil War Historical site and the town’s adorable on top of it. Virginia has more Civil War sights than any other state and Fredricksburg is a great place to start particularly if you want a little background before you travel. It’s central to other great sights, too.
